Delete Your Bird Enthusiasts Platform Account

You can ask us to delete your Bird Enthusiasts Platform account at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app
- Open Bird Enthusiasts Platform and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you cannot access the app, email info@birdenthusiastsplatform.com from the email address registered on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
Please include the email address or phone number on the account so we can identify it. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, to make sure nobody else can delete your account. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
What happens when your account is deleted
- You are signed out and can no longer sign in.
- Your profile stops being visible to other members.
- Push and email notifications stop.
- Your registered phone number and National ID/Iqama are released, so they can be used again on a new account.
- Subscription records in Bird Enthusiasts Platform are marked as cancelled.
What we keep, and why
Some records are retained after deletion where we are required to keep them, or where they no longer identify you personally:
- Transaction and payment records we must retain to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Certificates, competition entries, and judging results that form part of an official record.
- Content posted in shared spaces, such as community discussions, which may remain visible without your profile attached.
- A minimal deactivated account record, kept to prevent the account being re-created fraudulently and to honour the deletion request itself.
If you want us to erase any remaining personal data that we are not legally required to keep, email info@birdenthusiastsplatform.com and say so in your request.
Important — cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel billing for a subscription bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those subscriptions are managed by the store, not by us, and you will continue to be charged until you cancel there:
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
Please cancel your subscription before deleting your account, because you will no longer be able to reach it from inside the app afterwards.
If you represent a club
For safety, an account that is the registered representative of a club cannot be deleted while it holds that role. Transfer the club representative role to another member first, or email info@birdenthusiastsplatform.com and we will help.
